Hyundai has started testing the next-gen Venue in India ahead of its launch which is likely to happen later this year. The Korean manufacturer’s updated sub-four-metre SUV will get design updates on the exterior and a host of new features throughout. As seen in the spy shots, there is only one unit of the heavily camouflaged 2025 test mule. The latter, as well as the roof rails, are missing, indicating that this could be a mid-range variant.Elsewhere, the new Hyundai Venue is expected to get a set of new headlights, a new grille, revised front and rear bumpers, a set of new alloy wheels and a modified tailgate. Inside, there is likely to be a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, new upholstery and a redesigned dashboard.Under the hood, the second-generation Venue will continue to be powered by the same NA 1.2-litre, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Transmission options including a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, seven-speed DCT and six-speed torque converter will also be carried over. When launched, the Hyundai Venue will rival the Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
