Honda is planning to launch the Elevate Black Edition this month ahead of the Auto Expo. This special edition will be based on the standard SUV, albeit with some cosmetic changes. Here’s what we can expect.
Exterior:
As the spy photos show, the Elevate Black Edition will feature a Crystal Black Pearl exterior. There will be two editions, namely Black and Signature Black. The Black Edition is expected to feature a chrome grille surround and silver inserts on the roof rails, but switches to gloss black wheels. On the other hand, the Signature Black Edition is expected to feature an all-black front grille, front and rear skid plates with a black finish, black roof rails, and special badging on its front fenders.
Interior:
Both versions are expected to feature a black interior with leather seats and ambient lighting. Since both variants of the SUV will be based on the top-of-the-line model, they will come with a single-panel sunroof, automatic climate control, connected car technology and Level 2 ADAS.
Powertrain:
The same 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine as the standard Elevate will power the Elevate Black Edition and Signature Black Edition. It produces 119 hp and 145 Nm of torque and is mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed CVT. Potential buyers will have a choice between these two transmission options.
