Tata Motors has unveiled the Harrier EV in India at the upcoming Mobility Show in Delhi. It competes with Maruti’s Vitara, Mahindra’s electric XUV and Toyota’s Urban Cruiser EV. TheTata Harrier EV retains the silhouette of its ICE twin, while incorporating design elements from the Curvv concept. The most notable update is a new matte color also featured on the other Stealth versions shown. Other notable features include a new grille and distinctive LED lighting for the front and rear LED lights.The interior layout is carried over from the SUV, but with a new user interface for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The Harrier EV continues to offer generous space and a range of features including an ADAS safety package, connectivity and a panoramic roof. Even more interestingly, it benefits from a new call mode that allows it to drive autonomously without driver intervention.
Powertrain
The Harrier EV is based on the Gen2 architecture and features a QWD, which is an all-wheel drive configuration. It features a dual-motor configuration with one motor on each axle. This electric car offers a range of 500 km on a single charge.
